S/n 75033*022. An extremely original Alfa Romeo 33/2, discovered in a warehouse in Ravenna, Italy, untouched and unmolested, after sitting in storage for 25 years. Just completed a frame–up restoration. The current Best in Class winner at both the Concorso d'Italia at Meadowbrook and Pebble Beach!

1974, 21 Jan., sold by Sig. Bruno Ottomano to Sig. Luigi Baroncelli of Ravenna. Paid 4,400,000 lire or at today’s dollars about $2,500 USD.

2000, April, sold to an American client.

2000, 02 May, per long conversation with a European client, he was offered this car out of Italy, it was discovered in a warehouse some place in Italy after sitting in storage for 25 years. Very original. Untouched and unmolested. Needing a total restoration. It sold instantly to the US.

2003, August, as per conversations with owner, in restoration in the US. Time to sell the car. The rolling chassis is essentially completed, the bodywork has started and the engine rebuild is in progress.

2003, 03 Nov., transaxle assembly has been completed and work is progressing nicely on the engine.

2004, 22 Mar., engine is complete and ready for testing.

2004, 07 Apr., engine tests completed.

2004, 22 Apr., engine and transaxle mated to the chassis and final chassis build–out started.

2004, 16 Jul., bodywork for main panels completed and panels test fitted on chassis.

2004, 31 Jul., shown at Concorso d'Italia at Meadow Brook. Winner "Outstanding Race Car".

2004, 11 Nov., body painted and fitted. Final fit–out started.

2004, November, owner decided to finish the restoration and show it himself before selling 75033*022.

2005, 07 Aug., 4th Annual Concorso d'Italia at Meadowbrook, Rochester Hills, Michigan. Best in Class: “Most Outstanding Competition”.

2005, 21 Aug., 55th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Pebble Beach, California. Best in Class: Class E–8, “Alfa Romeo Postwar Sports Racing”.
