1933 Alfa Romeo 6C Gran Sport 1750 supercharged Castagna Cabriolet, a very attractive and event-friendly 6C 1750 GS, chassis no. 121215033, with matching engine # 121215033. The 3rd of only 71 Sixth Series Alfa Romeo 6Cs built, fitted from new with very attractive Castagna Cabriolet coachworks. Alfa 6C 1750 s/n 121215033 was restored from a bare frame up in 2003-2009. Alfa 6C 1750 supercharged Gran Sport Castagna Cabriolet s/n 121215033 is RHD like almost all pre-war Alfas. Finished in an elegant gloss black with dark red accents with dark red leather and black carpets. Has an easy-to-raise-or-lower black cabriolet top and an opening-folding windshield for sunny summer Italian motoring. Also fitted with a radiator stoneguard, trafficators and nicely integrated rear-mounted single or dual spare wheel and tire. A single spare is currently mounted. The Castagna body shows its elegance well both top-up and top-down. Alfa 6C 1750 supercharged Gran Sport s/n 121215033 is one of the last 6C 1750 examples ever built by Alfa Romeo and so engine and chassis were both refined and tweaked to their limits. This outstanding example has its original matching numbers engine and chassis and has a well-documented ownership history listing every owner back to the mid-1950s in England. Like all supercharged Alfas the engine is a work of machinists art with its alloy block and alloy ribbed supercharger, air intake and steering box. The interior is in very good condition with excellent leather seats and door panels. The wood trim is in excellent restored condition, as are the instruments. The overall condition shows the patina of a nicely maintained ten-year-old restoration, an all-weather friendly and well-sorted pre-war Alfa that is light and pleasant to use. Will cruise comfortably at today’s freeway speeds. FIVA paperwork in process. This supercharged Alfa 6C is an ideal entrant for any of the world’s myriad classic car driving events.
