1969 DeTomaso Mangusta s/n 8MA 674. Only 1,150 miles. Just finished a 10–year and $100,000 plus bare–tub–up restoration. Black on black paint over Giugiaro designed lines. Available for less than the cost of restoration. One owner for the last fifteen years! The 87th of 401 Mangustas built in the golden–era of pre–bumper, pre–smog Italian exotics. Just serviced, aligned and highly detailed, ready to go or show. A very early Mangusta without smog pumps and side marker lights. Ford 302 powered, it runs extremely well, has as–new syncros. Excellent Dunlop Vintage Racing tires on 15–inch Campagnolo wheels. Pay for the restoration, get the car for free, or buy the car and get the restoration for free!

S/n 8MA 674. 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta. USA Model.

1994, 19 Aug., purchased by the current owner from the Auto Toy Store. Described as restored but the reality was that it needed to be restored. Yellow with black leather. Mileage: 745 miles. Paid $34,000.

1995, car shipped to Bobileff Motorcars for restoration. This Mangusta was originally planned to be shown at Pebble Beach, 1997.

1995, restoration worked started, total bill for 1995: $5,000.

1996, the restoration continued. Total billing for 1996: $30,000.00 labor and $19,434.50 parts

1997, the restoration continued. Total billing for 1997: $20,000.00 labor and $14,915.32 parts.

1998, the restoration continued. Total billing for 1998: $7,075.00

1999, no work was done.

2000, minor work was done. Total billing for 2000: $1,186.00. Total billing to date with parts and sublet: $97,610.82

2001–2003, no work was done.

2004, new tires installed: $1,862.40.

2005, sorting work done, cooling system work, new radiator core, new cooling fans, high volume water pump, rebuilt brake booster: $4,382.86.

2006, installed seatbelts, overhauled steering column “U”–joints: $1,727.45.

2006, repaired body damage to rear lid, repainted rear lid and rear body: $14,134.34.

2007, car finished and with current owner. Total invoices include $50,000 labor; $17,999.37 parts; $6,830.59 sublet; $1,300 media blasting; $20,177.50 extra labor plus $1,379.45 tax plus post delivery repairs, totalling approximately $120,000.
