196 S replica s/n 142536, a wallet–friendly, left–hand drive, alloy–bodied replica of 1959 Ferrari 196 S s/n 0776. Finished in excellent Ferrari red paint with an unusually nice quilted tan full–leather interior and excellent panel fit. Fitted with a full width plexi windscreen, turn signals in the front brake ducts and side marker lights. 142536 is powered by a mildly tuned 4–cam 246 engine with three velocity–stack–topped Webers putting out well over 200 hp, with side pipes and backed by a full syncro five–speed gearbox. Four wheel disc brakes and nicely polished chrome–spoke Borrani wire wheels shod with near new radials. Outfitted with a correct type riveted alloy fuel tank with usable luggage space behind the fuel tank. Correct period–type dash and gauges. Excellent attention to details from the covered headlights to the hood straps and hold downs, from the side vents and riveted alloy oil tank to the aluminum passenger’s footrest and period–type fuse and relay box. This replica is very true to the original concept and fully functional for event or road use.
