250 Lusso. Originally black paint with a red interior. Well documented ownership going back almost thirty years.


S/n 5217 GT/L. 250 Lusso. Now black paint with a black interior.

Identified as a 250 GT/L by/for Miska’s “Berlinetta Lusso”.

With John Levy, Arlington, Virginia.

1976, offered by Specialty Motorcars, Arlington, VA. Black with red leather. (FCA May 1976). Fresh engine rebuild. (FCA Jul 1976).

1976, listed in FOCUSA roster by Daniel P. Kingsford, (as in the Kingsford charcoal company) Princeton, NJ.

1977, Oct., owned by David Soder, Houston, TX. Black with red interior. Seen at FCA Regional Meet in Houston, TX.

1997, 16–19 Jan., for sale at Barrett–Jackson Auction, Scottsdale, AZ. Black/black. Appears to be very original. Respray. Wire Borrani wheels. No appearance of abuse. Same owner for 20 years. Dents in front caused when someone turned key with car in gear, causing it to lurch forward into another car. Cond: 3. Sold at $73,500. At current prices they are an excellent buy. JR Apen comment: 20 years with owner. IRS needs money.

2002, 23 Feb., advertised in the Ferrari Market Letter. 1/2 page add: 1963 Ferrari 250 Lusso s/n 5217 GT. Well documented ownership history for over 30 years. Very good black paint with black leather. Excellent driver, very strong engine and silky smooth gearbox. Easily passes any reasonable mechanical inspection. Nicely detailed engine compartment. A pleasure to drive. Priced right at $129,500.
