New to Della Serra, Italy.

Front body damage in Italy. Fixed with what are, by today’s standards, poor quality repairs.

1970, 07 Oct., offered by Crepaldi SPA, Milano, to Sig. Robert M. Arthur, 4626 – 60th St. San Diego, CA. 92115 at $3,700. Copy of letter in European Auto Sales stock file number 1889.

1970, 22 Oct., sold by Crepaldi Automobili s.a.s., Milano, to Sig. Robert M Arthur, 4626 – 60 th St. San Diego, CA. As per invoice telaio number 3409, Motore number 3409. Colore Rosso Corsa, pele nero. $3,700 USD. Copy of invoice in European Auto Sales stock file number 1889.

1991, 6 Aug., sold through David L. Rose as the agent for Robert Arthur, to Michael Sheehan’s European Auto Sales and Restoration. Unrestored car. Non–matching 250 2+2 engine with (probably) engine number 2899 GT from a GTE, needs body, paint and interior work.

1991, 6 Aug., sold same day to John Collins, Talacrest Ltd, London.

1994, 19 Feb.–June, for sale in FML by Talacrest Ltd., yellow with black hides and black carpets. Completing total restoration by ourselves. 38,400 km recorded. UK350,000.

Restored by Talacrest in Yellow with black.

Then sold to Lawrence Bristow.

Some time in this period engine number 3441 GT, from a GTE, but renumbered to number 3409 GT was installed.

Bristow then took the car to David Cottingham’s DK engineering where the car was repainted from yellow to red.

Lawrence Bristow then decided he wanted a competition car and so traded 250 SWB s/n 3409 GT towards a competition alloy–bodied 250 SWB.

1995, 250 SWB s/n 3409 GT, now in red, sold to Japan by David Cottingham to a company that was called Caravan World in the Tokyo area.

1998, 03 Dec., as per Keith Bluemel:

July of 1994 seen by me at Talacrest, bare yellow painted shell freshly restored, believed sold to Lawrence Bristow.

2002, 11 Nov., offered by a well known Japanese broker. No price.

2002, 19 Nov., replied to the broker. Please tell us more.

2002, 27 Nov., as per call from a well known Japanese dealer, he has bought this car in a complicated trade from *****–san, the owner in Japan in trade for an 8C Alfa.

2002, 02 Dec, dealer/owner in Tokyo called and confirmed agreement, shipping date and inspection timing.
