1985 Ferrari 288 GTO s/n 57715. U.S. E.P.A. , D.O.T. and California legal with CARB/BAR sticker. Red with black and red inserts. Air Conditioning. Well detailed ownership history from new. Recent (September 2004) major service with new cam belts and cam seals. One of only a few dozen 288s that are California legal. The fastest production car on the planet, when introduced in 1984. The most collectable and most usable of the modern Ferrari Supercars. 8,724 km or 5,408 miles. One of the few 288 GTOs that can be licensed in California.

1985, 08 July, Certificate of origin no. 30270 issued.

1985, July, sold new to Joseph Konis, Beverly Hills/CA. Joe kept the car at his home in Monaco.

1988, 12 Jan., imported into the US by Joe Konis.

1989, 25 Jan., EPA tested by Compliance Technologies, 1625 W. Collins, Orange, CA, 92777.

1989, May, titled under the name Konis of Gardena and Beverly Hills, California, USA.

1990, May, offered in the Los Angeles Times by dealer Mille Miglia, Inc., in Los Angeles, California.

1990, 12 July, sold to Mike Sheehan’s European Auto Sales, Costa Mesa, CA/USA.

Re-sold by Mike Sheehan’s European Auto Sales, Costa Mesa, CA to Japan.

2002, December, sold back to USA to Symbolic Motor Car Co., La Jolla/CA.

57715 85 288 GTO Red Black leather with red inserts 5 speed manual.Silicon Valley Auto Group. This car was originally purchased in California. It is a California spec car! 16" alloy wheels. Has A/C!

2003, 09 Aug., advertised for sale in Ferrari Market Letter, by Silicon Valley Auto Group in Los Gatos/CA.

2004, 13 Aug., Portola Plaza Hotel, Monterey, RM Auctions. Estimate– $300–$350K. Red with black leather and red inserts. Unrestored original, 2– condition. CD player, seats and carpets show some use. A few small rock chips in the nose, otherwise nearly like new and represented as having only 7,621 km. As later Ferrari supercars and limited editions slip steadily down the slope of depreciation 288 GTOs are catching on again, with steady prices.

2004, 13 Aug., to current owner, Las Vegas, Nevada.

2004, 15 Sept., major service done by Italy Service, 2407 South Highland, Las Vegas, NV, 89102. R & R camshafts to install new cam seals, new cam and drive belts. Replace distributor pickup, oil and filter change. Total invoice: $5,320.02.

2005, 17 Feb., check for oil leaks, replace oil hose, work done by Italy Service, 2407 South Highland, Las Vegas, NV, 89102. Total invoice: $891.10

2005, 21 Oct., brake line replaced, brakes flushed, new door light bulbs installed. Work done by Italy Service, 2407 South Highland, Las Vegas, NV, 89102. Total invoice: $758.13
