1973 USA model Daytona Spyder S/N 16857. 92nd of 122 Daytona Spyders. Restored to Platinum level in the very late 1980s and again in the very late 1990s. Taken to a bare shell and completely rebuilt, including engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension and all other moving parts. Rosso Corsa with all new tan leather. Top and dash redone, every suspension or trim part re–plated or re–coated. Very low mileage. Ownership documentation from 1974 to present. Has the original leather book pouch, owner’s handbook, USA supplement, warranty card, warranty service book, delivery card from Chinetti Garthwaite Imports and the Consumer Information booklet. Has the Factory supplied briefcase tool kit and the leather tool roll and leather jack bag and jack. Has Michelin XWX tires on 8″ and 9″ Borrani wires. A no expenses spared older restoration with all the ultra–hard to get original memorabilia. Runs and drives extremely well, handles like a dream, has the power Daytonas are known for.

March 1973 USA production. LHD. Originally Blue with cream leather. Delivered new to Luigi Chinetti Motors.

1974, 17 June, sold new to original owner Ben H. Bryant, Shaker Heights, OH. He was a fight (boxing) promoter. He paid $30,000. Kept the car until 1986.

1986, sold to Ferrari of Los Gatos.

1986, 26 Apr., sold by Ferrari of Los Gatos to Michael Sheehan, European Auto Sales, paid $130,000.

1986, 28 May, sold by Michael Sheehan, European Auto Sales to Cochran, Water Mill Properties, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, paid $145,000.

Sold while under restoration by Cochran to Sid Ferris, Oregon.

1987, 10 July, sold by Sid Ferris to Michael Sheehan at European Auto Sales.

1987, 10 July, same day sold to Eiichi Ida, Tokyo, Japan for US$ 645,000.

1992, 15 Oct., resold by Eiichi Ida, Tokyo, to European Auto.

1993, 5 Mar., sold by M. Sheehan, European Auto Sales, to Jerre Sullivan, Vero Beach, FL USA, paid $440,000.

1994, February, shown by Jerre Sullivan at the Cavallino Classic III meeting, Palm Beach, Florida. Best in Class winner.

1998, 26 Mar., as per inspection by Mike Sheehan, a very nice car. Very nice older restoration. Great paint. Great detailing. Minor pieces on the AC under the dash missing. Minor dents on the top of the deck lid from people closing the trunk clumsily. Wayne Obry says that the tool kits and books are absolutely perfect (although I did not see them) down to the wiping rag, etc., etc.

1998, October, finished by Wayne Obry and back at Jerre’s home in Hartland, Wisconsin.

2000, 28 Jan., Jerre called. Time to sell the car. Please put together an advertising campaign and market the car.

2000, 12 Feb., advertised for sale in the FML, half page ad, by Mike Sheehan.

A magnificent red/tan example of Ferrari’s last front–engined V–12 spyder. “Frame–up” restoration in 1988. Class winner at the 1994 Cavallino Classic. Has books, tools and all restoration documentation.

2000, June, sold to Harold (Bud )W. Sherrill, NC. Mileage: 20,200.

2005, 15 Feb., sold to curent owner. Mileage: 20,858.

2005, 29 June, serviced by Autosprint Ltd. Bumpers re–plated, Borranis re–conditioned, new wheel nuts and inspected. Mileage out: 20,875. Total invoice: $5,149.97.

2005, 23 Sept., serviced by Autosprint Ltd. Emissions check, replaced spark plugs, adjusted carburetors, re&installed Borranis and balanced tires, replaced air filter, repaired air pump and re–charged AC. Mileage out: 20,968. Total invoice: $7,411.71.

2006, 02 Oct., serviced by Autosprint Ltd. Replaced acorn nuts, replaced radiator hoses and hose clamps, installed a battery cut–off, replaced cover seal, replaced side transmission seal, replaced engine bay labels, powder–coated air cleaner, replaced right side hood cable, re–conditioned steering wheel and dash and replaced washer bag. Total invoices: $2,254.24 and $9,906.36.
