1996 Ferrari F310 s/n 168 has been a centerpiece of several private American collections. F1 s/n 168 was rebuilt at the Ferrari Factory for its first American owner and is ready for display or F1 Clienti track events. F310 s/n 168 is in immaculate “Pebble Beach” standards condition and, with a thorough inspection by F1 clienti, can be “ready–to–race” complete with all support and start equipment including the valve train air tank, electric remote starter assembly, pit fuel churn, front and rear quick–lift jacks, nose take–off cover, wing cover and a spare set of wheels and tires. S/n 168. F310. 1996. First of the Ferrari V–10s. First engine type #046, a 75 degree V–10, four valves per cylinder, six hundred plus horsepower. The first Ferrari to carry the new information steering wheel with no dashboard. All the information is in the center of the steering wheel.

1996, then used as test mule for Schumacher. Has all the latest updates for the 310s. See “The Ferrari Formula One, 1996” by Automobilia. These books were printed from 1989 onwards, so a book a year in incredible detail. Each book is very detailed with cutaways, info on the introduction, race results, details on each race, etc.

1998, February, on display at the Motor Classic show in Zurich, Switzerland.

1998, 18 July, as per Andreas Birner, 70 F1 cars are currently owned by private collectors. 20 of them are serviced regularly at the factory’s department. The mechanics are Cleto Zini and Pietro Corradini. Dr. Roberto Brenner of Ferrari’s marketing department is responsible for the F1 sales.

1999, owned by David Smith, Seattle, WA. David had s/n 168 gone through by the factory and fully race ready.

As per David the Factory had multiple variations of the Tipo 046 engine but the engine was basically bulletproof. The titanium “weldment” transaxles were also very dependable. Additionally there were 5 different aerodynamic packages on these cars so it is essential to get the right combination of gearbox, aero package and engine “trim” level.

2000, 19 Feb., as per conversation with David Smith, David and his mechanic have actually put together a start and owner’s manual for the car.

2000, sold to Larry Carter.

2006, 23 Aug., to Skeets Dunn, Southern California.

2007, 05 July, inspected and photographed by Mike Sheehan.

2008, October, on consignment with Michael Sheehan’s and sold to current owner.

2018, May, on consignment with Ferraris-online LLC.
