We are pleased to offer 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spyder conversion s/n 12891, a 1969 Euro model plexiglass headlight Daytona finished in very nice older Rosso Corsa with red leather, black inserts and red carpets. This undamaged Daytona was converted to a Daytona Spyder conversion by Mike Sheehan’s European Auto Restoration in 1978–79. One long term owner from September 1984 to today, so twenty-seven years. Comes with hand-written service records documenting fluid changes, service work and mileage from 1989 to today showing only 10,962 miles. This Daytona had just completed a $14,750.60 service to deal with long term maintenance issues, another $2,100 for very good tires and exhaust and a final invoice of $3,942.00 for a brake system rebuild. Runs well, drives well, has a great power-band from a very strong engine, backed up with an excellent gearbox. All the exterior chrome and stainless trim is in very good original condition. All window glass, including the windshield, is excellent. The door shut on both driver’s and passenger’s sides is crisp and the alignment is excellent. It sits on very sharp Cromodora mag wheels with excellent 215/70 X 15 front and the “Boxer spec.” 225/70 X 15 Michelin XWX rear tires. Includes the original “Clamshell” folding cover for the folded top.

The interior is excellent with very soft leather seats, excellent door panels, headliner, carpets and rear shelf, all with excellent patina. The canvas top and back window are in excellent condition. This car has a correct early European model wooden steering wheel in very good condition. The door jams and sill plates are clean and tidy. Even the wing window latches are still in place, a common weak point on Daytonas. The engine compartment is original and nicely detailed. The hood struts are new and the original hood pad is in excellent condition. Complete with hand written service records going back to 1989. Runs and drives exceptionally well, an extensive pre-buy inspection confirmed excellent compression and leak-down. Three just-completed services of $14,750.60, $2,100 and $3,942.00 and an additional service to rebuild all four shocks and fit a new plexiglass headlight cover was just completed to ensure that this Daytona is in excellent mechanical condition. We welcome a “fly in” personal inspection or a pre-purchase inspection by the shop of your choice. Priced right at $334,500.
