With only 15 factory built 365 GTB/4C competizione Daytonas, there has long been a strong demand for similar cars both at the professional level when racing in period and today as club racers. S/n 13991 was built by Bruno Bori of Modena Sportscars in LA as a virtual duplicate of the factory built 365 GTB/4C s/n 16407 which finished second overall in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1979 with Morton and Adamowicz driving. 365 GTB/4C s/n 13991 features the same competition style, plexi–glass covered headlights, fender flares, and competition wheels as featured on the original factory built cars.

It also has a front air dam, front spoiler, racing grille, lightened hood, outside door filler, rear brake boost, engine cold air box, lightened doors and trunk safety latches as the factory cars.

This Daytona is also fitted with a much stronger updated roll cage, fire system, fuel cell, FIA approved racing seats, and much improved brake system from the factory cars. The Daytona engine is virtually bullet proof, even in racing specs, this engine has been rebuilt to full factory standards, as new.

The transaxle case is the weakest mechanical link in the Daytona’s power train, so 365 GTB/4C conversion s/n 13991 is fitted with a newer and much stronger transaxle case and steel side plates and the “short” 3:90x1 rear end gear.

This Ferrari offers staggering performance, very low maintenance, stunning good looks, and a mechanical sound to die for. It’s the ultimate club racer and is eligible for the Ferrari Historic race series. It is priced below replacement cost at $225K.
