We are pleased to offer 1970 Ferrari 512 M s/n 1034. Originally bodied as a 512 S Berlinetta. Raced by Arturo Merzario and Clay Reggazzoni as a Factory “SEFAC” entry at Le Mans in 1970 but crashed heavily. In 1990 a new car was built by Bob Houghton Ltd. in England based on the original engine from s/n 1034, the original gearbox, driveline elements, steering rack, suspension components and the original chassis plate. Having owned and raced a 512 M, we believe the 512 M and 512 S are the ultimate Ferrari Sports Prototype race car, with 5.0 litres and 560 horsepower, the on–track performance is staggering while the light weight and massive tires make for an incredibly well balanced race car! Built to race and win the 24 hours of Le Mans and Daytona or the 12 hours of Sebring, these cars are virtually indestructible in vintage racing. This Ferrari is well sorted and in perfect race–ready condition with F.I.A. papers. Raced at many events in Europe and across the US, and eligible for HMSA, HSR, VARA, SOVREN, SCCA Vintage and CSRG race series. Priced right at $795,000.
