Introduced at the Paris Auto Show in 2000, the Barchetta was Ferrari’s first true V-12 spyder in twenty-six years and a worthy successor to the highly desirable Daytona Spyder last built in 1974. As the flagship of the Ferrari line, the 550 Barchetta featured a cut down windscreen and lightweight top, recapturing the glory days of Ferrari’s legendary front-engined open-top V-12 sports cars. It offers simply staggering performance from its 485 hp 5,474 cc V12, with a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 199 mph, just touching the magic 200 mph mark. Thanks to light controls, silky-smooth power steering and effortless torque, the 550s are a pleasure to drive in traffic or on the open road. 550 Barchetta s/n 124072 is # 94 of only 448 550 Barchettas built in late 2000 and early 2001 and is last of the 6-speed, front-engine, V-12 Ferrari Spyders.

550 Barchetta s/n 124072 was sold new in May, 2001 by Auto Neuser Ferrari, the authorized Ferrari dealer for Nurnberg, Germany, to Heichel Immobilienverwaltung, a real estate management company, and then imported into the United States through Miami. Converted to US Specs by Automobile Concepts, Miami, Florida. All US ownership and the low mileage is well documented. Today, 550 Barchetta s/n 124072 has just 3,347 miles.

550 Barchetta s/n 124072 shows very well and needs nothing aside from very light stone chipping to the front bumper. The wheels show no curbing and carry the correct Michelin Pilot Sports tires. There are no sticky-switch problems and the few door dents have been repaired. The interior and carbon fiber racing seats show only very light wear and are in excellent condition. The glass and lamps are like new. The engine compartment and trunk are excellent, as would be expected of such a low mileage well-cared for car. Very clean underneath with no scrapes or scratches to the belly pans.

Euro model 550 Barchetta s/n 124072 is complete with the factory leather pouch or case with all owner’s books, warranty card, the full tool set and its leather case, the factory car cover and carrying bag and the roadside reflector. Only 3,347 well documented miles from new. This well optioned and fully serviced Ferrari is in “near-new” condition with no excuses. Detailed pre-purchase inspection, CarFax and all service invoices on file. Priced right at $259,500.
