550 Maranello s/n 108717 was sold new by Ferrari Dallas to Mark Rand, Plano, Texas and comes with what we believe is every service record since new detailing the service work done year by year. The detailed service history can be reviewed by clicking on the history link below and concludes with the service work in progress including a 30k cam belt service with new cam seals, new cam belts, all fluids changed, the water hoses in the intake valley being replaced and the upper dash, instrument binnacle and airbag cover being treated to all new leather. As demonstrated by the years of service records and current service in progress, 550 Maranello s/n 108717 has obviously been owned by just three very fastidious owners who spared no expenses. This 550 Maranello also comes with the Spare-in-a-Can, both sets of keys and is mounted on an excellent set of 255/40 ZR 18 front and 295/35 ZR 18 rear Michelin Pilot Sport Tires.

Cosmetically, 550 Maranello s/n 108717 is in excellent condition as one would expect with 19,193 miles or less than 1,000 miles per year since new. The Fly Yellow paint is in very nice condition with excellent gloss throughout and no notable marks or dings aside from the expected minor chips in the front spoiler. The glass and all lenses are in excellent condition throughout. All body gaps are as new and both doors, the hood and trunk all open and shut with authority. The wheels are in excellent condition although the right front and left rear wheel are slightly marked on the bead edge. The underbody panels are in excellent condition with only minor scuffing.

The interior of the car is in particularly nice condition and will show very well with the new leather dash, instrument binnacle and airbag covering. The switches were sublet to “Sticky-No-More” by GP Enterprises LLC. The leather is supple and smooth with excellent surfacing and no marks of note. The driver’s seat has very minor wear on the seat bolster, however all other leather surfaces including the headliner, center console, door panels, visors and pillars are all in excellent condition. Even the center console remains free from rippling, which can be problematic in what is now a twenty-year-old Ferrari. In all, the interior shows well in an elegant color combination. The trunk carpeting shows no wear and is fitted with the original Factory fitted CD changer.

Introduced as the flagship of the Ferrari line in 1996, the 550 Maranello took Ferrari back to the glory days of the long-nose, short-tail front-engined Lusso, 275 and Daytona coupes. An indisputably elegant design with both masculine and muscular styling by Pininfarina. We believe the 550 Ferraris are unquestionably the best-buy in a user-friendly three-pedal, 6-speed, stick shift V-12 Ferrari. Thanks to speed-sensitive power steering, the 550 is surprisingly light and easy to drive in traffic at low speeds or on the highway at high speeds. With effortless torque, they are pleasant to drive in traffic using only two or three of their six gears, and utterly relaxed in 6th gear at America’s highway speeds. The climate control works well and the cockpit is luxurious and roomy. The trunk has more than adequate capacity for true Grand Touring. The Maranello recaptures the glory days of Ferrari’s legendary front-engined V-12 sports cars. The 550s offer staggering yet effortless performance from its 485 hp 5,474 cc V12, with a 0-60 time of 4.3 seconds and top speed of 199 mph, just touching the magic 200 mph mark!

As the last of the three-pedal, 6-speed, stick shift V12 Ferraris, 550 Maranello s/n 108717 offers an excellent driving experience to her next owner and will be delivered to her new owner with a fresh cam belt service and with the dash, instrument binnacle and air bag cover in new leather. Complete with all seven owner’s handbooks, including the warranty card listing the first owner, their leather carrying pouch and the full set of Factory tools in their carrying case. Still fitted with its original and great sounding factory-installed stereo system with 6-CD changer. Fully serviced, excellent paint, excellent body and an excellent interior. This 550 is finished in an elegant color combination. Only 19,193 ultra-well-documented miles. Well-equipped and needs nothing. A no-stories, no-excuses car that is ready to be enjoyed and admired and driven. Priced very right at $129,950.
