We are pleased to offer 2004 spec. 550 Maranello Le Mans racer s/n 108536. This well sorted and very fast racer was built by XL Racing for the French FFSA GT Series (Fédération Française de Sport Automobile) and the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) to N GT or GT specifications. Weight was trimmed down to just 1235kg, (2750 lbs) with the help of lightweight carbon fiber body panels. The Ferrari V–12 engine now puts out 585 hp @ 6,250 rpm and generates a stump pulling 455 ft lbs of torque backed up with a Hewland 6–speed gearbox. This car has a long and consistent race history in the French FFSA GT Series and is currently prepared to the 2004 Le Mans N GT or GT specifications; fully “fresh” race prepared and race ready to go. It can be delivered in F.I.A. Le Mans GT, American Le Mans Series, French GT FFSA, Challenge VdeV, Australian or Japanese GT specification as required by the new owner. Priced far below the cost of building, testing and development.

Very similar to the Prodrive 550 racers (priced at $600,000 plus) or the Factory built 575 GTC (priced at $833,000), the XL racing 550 Maranello was built to run in the N GT or GT class against the Porsche GT3–RS and the Ferrari 360 GT and 360 GTC, and so it runs one class below the 550 Prodrive and 575 GTC, which were built to run in the faster GTS class against the Corvette C5R and the Saleen SR7.

With a proven race history, and with the restrictor plate removed, this 550 XL racer would be the ultimate Ferrari club track day racer! Priced far below the cost of building or replacement at a very reasonable 285,000 Euros (app. 355,000 USD), in a fully race–ready condition, with a full spares package available at extra cost.
