We are pleased to offer the 1993 Italian GT Championship winning F40 GT s/n 80742. This F40 GT overwhelmed the competition, totally dominating the 1993 championship with 94 points versus 63 points for second place. 80742 was scoring well in the 1994 Italian GT Championship with three firsts under one driver and a first and two seconds under a second driver before it went to a third driver and was subsequently sold to Team Taisan for use in the new Japanese GT Championship series.

F40 GT s/n 80742 is one of only seven cars built by Michelotto to 1993 F40 CSAI–GT specifications for the 1993 Italian GT series. These seven very fast Ferrari GT racers featured all new suspension wishbones, spring and shocks, larger anti–roll bars, four–pot Brembo brakes and wider one–piece OZ wheels, all evolved from the F40 LM. Horsepower jumped from 475 hp to 560 hp, thanks in part to more boost and a competition exhaust system. Lightweight carbon fiber dropped the weight to 1050 kg or 2310 lbs. The F40 GTs also featured a quick fill fuel system, flat floors with cooling ducts for the engine, a fire system, a full roll cage, plexiglass sliding windows, and the ride height was dropped 5 cm or 2".

F40 GT s/n 80742 was sponsored by the Jolly Club, who has sponsored Ferraris from the 1950s through the 1990s on behalf of the Jolly Hotel chain in Italy, owned by the Figli fabric empire which was founded by Count Gaetano Marzotto, patriarch and father of the very successful racing brothers Paolo and Gianni Marzotto. Indeed, Jolly’s Ferrari sponsorship dates back to 166 Inter Spider Corsa 0121.

F40 GT s/n 80742 has a truly impressive race history, and is the only F40 race car to not only win an FIA Championship, but to also truly dominate that Championship. The ultimate weapon for those who want a distinctively liveried Ferrari for the collection or for the track. Priced right at $695,000.
