We are pleased to offer 1969 Porsche 911S s/n 119 30 0007. This very early production, three owner 911 is the seventh of the 1969 911S coupes built, constructed during the last year of the 2.0 liter and first year of the long wheel base, making this a collectable one-year-only interim car. This Porsche 911S comes with every factory option available in 1969, including the rare factory sunroof, the self-leveling “E” struts in front, very nice original Recaro sports seats, electric antenna, correct Hella “eyebrow” fog lamps, muffler skirt, and a rear wiper. It was a factory owned management car, manufactured in October of 1968 and used as the personal transportation of the Sales Manager of Porsche at the Factory in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen (confirmed by Factory telefax and internal Porsche maintenance documents, copies on file). When the Porsche sales manager retired 1969 Porsche 911S s/n 0007 was taken with the owner to his retirement home in California. In 1985 Porsche 911s s/n 0007 was sold to its second owner, in Denver, Colorado with 83,000 miles on the car. The second owner fanatically maintained the car, changing the oil every year for 17 years with Valvoline Racing oil 40 weight (copies of invoices on file), until he sold it in 2002 to the third owner with 92,000 miles.

The early 911s exemplify a combination of timeless styling with user-friendly drivability and usability, especially when compared to other cars of the same vintage. Most sports cars of this era were considered simply “used cars”, which makes finding such a well-documented and original example difficult today. This Porsche left the factory with engine number 639 0044, transmission number 719 0029, and was painted blood orange with black vinyl interior. It has a re-stamped but correct type engine, the original transmission and the paint has been refurbished in the correct “blood orange” with the original black vinyl “Sport” seats in excellent condition. The rear fender flares and oversized back tires are later additions post 1972, however they were added for stability and make this Porsche a very stable road car.

This is a rare opportunity to own a well-optioned 911S. This Porsche 911S s/n 0007 is a non-matching numbers 2.0 liter 911S with an original sunroof and finished in its rare and attractive original color of Blood Orange. It is an excellent driver, making a strong cosmetic impression and performing well across the board. The car comes with original tool roll with tools, voluminous copies of service invoices from the mid-1980s, a copy of the Porsche Telefax, and the rare and original driver’s manual.
